January absolutely flew by and we are already into February! The trusted groundhog didn't see his shadow so that means only six more weeks of the white stuff! We hope you had a great January and were able to embrace the winter weather as good Canadians. Our family went up to Collingwood for some skiing which were some of the best skiing conditions we have seen in many years. Pictured above is Mark with his three daughters Chloe, Chesney and Charlotte. Chloe is going on her fifth year of skiing and she worked her way up to the blue square runs while Chesney and Charlotte were working on the basics but worked their way up to the biggest bunny hill! Locally though, the Pinery Park is an incredible spectacle in the winter for some hiking or snowshoeing. BONUS: Their cross country skiing trails are open as well!
Considering all the winter weather we have been getting there are some incredible reasons to get out of the house this month and check out various community events happening locally! We have a couple highlighted in the newsletter below and hope to see you out at them.

Red Cup Games February 11th 7pm-9pm
Another exciting local event happening February 11th from 7pm-9pm at the Grand Bend Legion hosted by the Sunset Community Foundation that you should be at! Some games you will be playing include cup tug of war, chin cup race, flip cup race, stack-a-cup, beer pong and more.
Registration is FREE and admission at the door is simply a nominal cash donation for the Grand Bend Food Pantry and the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre Food Pantry! This cash allows their volunteer shoppers to make the best use of funds for what is needed most.
