November Newsletter ~ The PEDLAR Team Update

November Is Upon Us

Hope everyone made it safely through this past weekend with the wild weather we were exposed to. We saw our first glimpse of snow and a new meaning for gales of November. It was reported that we had a ten foot surge in the Lake which wrecked havoc along the coastline. We attached a link to the london news articles that have some photos and video of the damage along the coastline.

The market remains very active with limited inventory of listings and a surplus of buyers. Give us a call today for a discussion on the price of your home in the area!

We hope everyone has a great day and thank you for taking the time to read our monthly newsletter.

Ausable-Port Franks Optimist Club
Connecting & Learning Remotely

Something cool in the volunteer world of trying to reach out to our community! The Ausable-Port Franks Optimist Club has revamped their website and added an awesome part to the website which allows for our virtual learners to connect and learn remotely. Parents can use this wonderful list of resources in many different ways. All the links are verified educational links and are separated by grade so your not wasting your time figuring out a good option for your child.

You have to go take a look and see what it is all about. It has great purpose for those parents with kids themselves to keep them occupied at night or day for some fun e-learning. Also has great potential for the grandparents to enjoy with their grandkids. Please pass the website along as it is FREE for everyone and all ONLINE.

Bus Routes Connecting Grand Bend & Area
To London & Sarnia

Very exciting for the area to have a way for our population that doesn't drive to be able to easily go places for cheap & to attract our younger summer workforce. This article was published September 22, 2020 by The Sarnia Observer.

Lambton Shores is just a few steps away from launching a bus route that would connect Grand Bend to London and Sarnia.

The Huron Shores Area Transit project is in its final stages, now seeking signatures of support from area residents to complete a licensing process. If approved, the buses would start running in late October.

The Sarnia to Grand Bend route would include stops in Forest, Kettle Point and Port Franks. The line from Grand Bend to London would have stops in Dashwood, Exeter and Lucan.

Additional routes would connect to Bayfield and to Parkhill and Ailsa Craig.

Exact bus stop locations are still being finalized.

“It is quite a huge space and area to work with,” said Marina Cajic, transit co-ordinator with the Municipality of Lambton Shores. “We’re just figuring out how to best do it.”

The municipality has signed on with Voyago, a common bus service provider in many of the region’s rural areas.
