October Newsletter ~ The PEDLAR Team Update


Incredible Month Of September!
And Lots To Look Forward To In October!


Last month in this newsletter we asked for some more warm weather in September and did we get it or what!?!? September was a great month weather wise allowing the locals to enjoy all the parts of Grand Bend without the tourists around. As locals we always say September is our favourite month of the year! September was busy in real estate as well feeling lucky to help a few buyers and sellers make their visions come true and we are always thankful for that! 

We hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving Weekend! Hope you are able to spend time with family and friends over some good food! There is lots to be thankful for in the world so make sure to take some time and do some reflecting on what you are thankful for in your life. From our family to yours Happy Thanksgiving!

Garrett and Mark, pictured above and below, went to Vancouver for the last week of September to attend the RE/MAX Canada Activate conference. They were jealous of the weather you were experiencing back in Ontario because it was overcast 4/5 days they were in Vancouver. The conferences are an amazing way to converse and learn from the best in the RE/MAX sphere of influence. It means a lot to us that when a client ask for an agent outside of our coverage area that we are truly sending them to an agent that we know personally or through an agent we know personally. Making sure the agent we send you to is local and knowledgeable in the area you are looking particularly. Also very special was that Garrett was asked to be a part of the 'Top Producer Panel' at the conference to give his insights on his career for others to learn from. Speaking alongside RE/MAX Canada Kinglsey Ma, From Calgary Matthew Morley and from Vancouver Patti Martin.

The PEDLAR Team CMN Hike 2023

This was an incredible experience hiking the Bruce Trail for six days with my mom in support of Children’s Miracle Network! And a big thanks to Dad, Doug, for being our trusted chauffeur, cook and support system! It was an awesome test of both physical and mental strength to get through the six days. We are in awe of the generous donations from the most amazing people totaling just over $8,000!! My Apple Watch recorded us walking 277,307 steps, 201.9 KM, 598 flights climbed, and 50 hours of walking! It was all worth it! We never would have thought we would run into such amazing scenery and landscapes that we did being only under an hour away many large cities including Toronto. If you have ever thought of walking the Bruce Trail here is your sign to do it! Lots of great smaller trails around the area to do smaller 3-6KM loops that would take a couple hours.

THANK YOU to those that donated! This experience isn't the great success it was without your generous donations!

Partnership Continues


As far as “slam dunk” marketing goes, RE/MAX will be continuing its wildly successful Spring 2023 “Advice You Need” campaign this fall, featuring basketball icon Kyle Lowry. Launching to the public on October 2, the campaign will run for six months and showcase Lowry in four ads, including a 30-second, a 15-second, a 10-second and one TikTok spot.
The ads are an extension of the national 'Advice You Need' campaign executed by agency Arrivals + Departures, which debuted during Super Bowl LVII and demonstrates the advantages of working with Canada’s most experienced agents.
The multi-channel campaign comes at a time where confusion about market conditions is running high and everyone has an opinion. Using humour, the campaign demonstrates the importance of getting the right advice when buying or selling a home, in the face of the well-intentioned, albeit the unsolicited and often questionable advice you get from friends and family – and as seen in RE/MAX’s latest ads, Lowry.

RE/MAX Halloween Accessibility Campaign


RE/MAX Canada is proud to announce its continued support of Treat Accessibly in 2023 – a movement that strives to raise awareness and encourage homeowners and communities to celebrate Halloween in a way that is inclusive of people of all abilities. More than 400,000 children and youth in Canada live with disabilities that pose obstacles to everyday activities, like trick-or-treating. These kids are among the 6.2 million Canadians (22 per cent) who identify as mobility, sensory or intellectually disabled. Treat Accessibly promotes inclusivity, by removing barriers to trick-or-treating activities.

What Can You Do?

You can help create an accessible Halloween by distributing candy from an obstacle-free location on the property, like the foot of the driveway, and by posting the Treat Accessibly lawn sign in advance of Halloween. This alerts community members that you’ll be handing out treats in an accessible way. Reach out to your local RE/MAX Office to find out how to get your free lawn sign. The Witches Paddle In Grand Bend

A new initiative started by the Lambton County & Huron County Economic Development groups was uploaded recently. They each created a virtual mapping website to show all the businesses and store fronts across the counties. These were created as an idea during COVID and will become a great tool for locals and tourists alike after COVID. Any business can be posted in the respective area if you go to the proper link below for each county.
