Embracing The Weather!


This fall has offered lots of great weather and excuses to get outside so we hope you took advantage of it! These pictures above are of a recent adventure into the Pinery Provincial Park where we explored the beautiful fall colours as the trees are changing. One of our favorite drives during this time of year is the stretch between Grand Bend & Port Franks along the Pinery Park where you are fully engulfed in a hallway of colours!

For those wondering Doug is doing very well in his path to recovery and has already spent some time back in the office working! He continues to do the exercises suggested from the doctor and only uses a cane to get around now so he is well on way to getting back to normal routine.

As we come into November there are lots of Community Events happening for Remembrance Day and leading up to the Christmas Holidays! Scroll down to see all the events that we can locate that are happening in the area.

The PEDLAR Team FOOD DRIVE
In Support Of
Grand Bend Community Food Pantry

 

The PEDLAR Team in partnership with GreenBucks Country Christmas Store are teaming up again to run another FOOD DRIVE for all of November in support of our local Grand Bend Community Food Pantry!

Drop off a bag of non-perishable food items or hygiene products at our office for a chance to win a $200 gift card to GreenBucks Country Christmas Store. Each bag donated gets one ticket for the gift card raffle. The more donations means more raffle entries! Our office is open weekdays 9am-5pm at 46 Ontario St S, Grand Bend for us to accept donations. We will be accepting donations till November 31, 2025.


2026 Calendars Are In The Mail!


It's that time of the year again where you will find our 2026 full sized calendar in the mail. They were sent out to the larger local area to those addresses that accept bulk mail. If you are far or local and didn't get one let us know and we will make sure we change that! Or if you did get one in the mail and could use another for the garage then reach out to us as well.


Exciting News From Ontario Government for
First Time Home Buyers
Building Or Buying A New Home

 

Some very exciting news for first time home buyers that are building or buying a brand new home! The federal government brought legislation in earlier this year that would allow a rebate on the full 5% of federal sales tax for first time home buyers building or buying a new home up to a million dollars. The federal government also offered smaller rebates for new homes above a million dollars.

Now the Ontario government has followed suit by offering a full 8% rebate on the provincial sales tax for first time home buyers buying or building a brand new home up to a million dollars.

This means up to $130,000 in rebates of sales tax on buying or building brand new homes for first time home buyers up to a million dollars! This initiative will make a drastic change in the view of first time home buyers when considering buying/building a new home or buying a resale home.

For example you can right now purchase a brand new bungalow home in Ailsa Craig for $599,900. With these new rebates you would be looking at a new purchase price of $521,913 after rebates are received!

Grand Bend – Gathering at 10 :45 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 514 (Grand Bend), 20 Municipal Drive, Grand Bend

Forest – Ceremony begins at 10 :45 a.m. at the Legion, 58 Albert St., followed by parade to the cenotaph

Thedford – Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Thedford Cenotaph, 42 Nelson St.

Parkhill – Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Coronation Park Cenotaph, 176 Broadway St., followed by another at 1:00 p.m. at the Lieury Cenotaph, 3245 McGillivray Dr.

Exeter – Parade forming up at 9:45 a.m.; service at 10:00 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 167 (Exeter), followed by wreath-laying.
